The annual magazine serves as a primer for state legislators, business leaders and consumers about the impact of agriculture on the state's economy. The publication educates Alabama consumers about their food sources and gives a voice to the state's farmers. Articles focus on the state's main commodities - cotton, peanuts, catfish, beef and poultry - and other agriculture-based industries, such as forestry and agri-tourism as well as innovations in technology and farm equipment.

New Rule Requires Scrapie Tags For Goats

A new rule passed recently by the Alabama Department of Agriculture will apply to goat producers across the state.
